I started this site in 2013 as a blog about interactions between women and men and Academia.
Anyhoo, I learned a lot from writing the blog. It helped me figure out that people definitely want funding, might want babies and are sick of feeling like impostors. People also wonder why anyone would want to piss off Nature. Whoa-boy did those posts get read! Not having been born yesterday, I’m halfway done with a post about a well-funded impostor baby who boycotts Nature.
But I also wrote some good stuff that didn’t get read quite as much. Check it out!
I wrote a hate letter a love letter, and a recipe for cheese.
I wrote about Marie Curie, Becky Sharp and Leonard Nimoy.
I gazed into the bottomless navel that is Twitter and wrote about what I saw.
I wrote about how teh sexism feels and told you what to say when teh sexism happens, and before teh sexism happens.
I wrote about predestination and from the perspective of a dog.
I topped it all off with a self-serving about me page and an even more self-serving contact me page.
Oh and I almost forgot! If you object to anything you find on these pages — even a little bit — I beg you — I AM ACTUALLY BEGGING YOU — to explain it to me in detail within the comments section.
There you have it, folks! A window into my soul during my embryonic phase of writing to the “public” which basically means anyone that I hadn’t met in person. Or, as we bloggers like to call it, “My Other Stuff.“
